-Urges Them To Give President-elect Weah A Chance

The former Country Director of the Youth for Human Rights International, Liberia Chapter has commended Liberians for the peaceful manner they conducted themselves during the October 10, 2017 representatives and Presidential elections held among twenty political parties and the runoff that was held on December 26, 2017 between the Unity Party and the Coalition for Democratic Change in the country.

Teewon Dolopei a young Liberian who currently resides in the United States of America is visiting Liberia.

He commended outgoing President of Liberia, Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf for ably steering the affairs of the country over the last twelve years, leading to a peaceful turnover of power to another democratically elected government which has not for more seventy years in Liberia.

The Liberia Chapter former youthful Director of the YHRI thanked all Liberians for maintaining the peace over the years and indicated that he was very impressed with the level of progress made so far.

Meanwhile, Mr. Dolopei has congratulated Amb. George M. Weah and Madam Jewel Howard Taylor, President and Vice President elect on the ticket of the Coalition for Democratic Change.

He said he was hopeful that Amb. Weah would live up to the expectations of the youthful population who believes that he can resurrect the country from its current state of dilemma. Dolopei pointed out that they should equally give him a chance to set his balance in carrying out the duty to which he has been called.

Dolopei calls on all meaningful Liberians to join ranks in supporting the developmental drive of the newly elected team to peacefully steer the affairs of the state that will earn Liberians the kind of development they have yearned for over the years.

While in the country, Mr. Dolopei will be meeting with some members of Youth for Human Rights International, Liberia Chapter to enhance the works of the organization, he will as well meet with other youth groupings he formed part of while in the country.
