Some aggrieved members, incorporators and the Board of Directors of the Patriotic Entrepreneurs of Liberia (PATEL) have with immediate effect dismissed the group’s national chairman, Presley Tenwah.

According to a statement signed and issued late Sunday evening by the aggrieved members, incorporators and the Board of Directors, their action to dismiss Tenwah was triggered by what they consider as dissatisfaction of PATEL members over the alleged dictatorial posture on the part of Tenwah.

Reading the statement on behalf of the group, Lawrence Cole, acting secretary general of the group indicated that Tenwah has allegedly refused to account for monies received with pending receivables to members of the group.
“The Patriotic Entrepreneurs of Liberia (PATEL) is pleased to notify the general public, all business associations, Liberia Chamber of Commerce, traders, marketers, foreign partners, embassies and all well-meaning Liberians that through an act of a board resolution dully signed by members of the board/incorporators, dated August 11, 2017, it was resolved that Mr. Presley S. Tenwah be dismissed as acting chairman of PATEL,” the statement disclosed.
The statement further “this action was due to a number of factors but not limited to the below listed points: review and assessment of all PATEL assets, the completion and adoption of PATEL by-laws and constitution and presentation of PATEL article of incorporation and manifesto to the body for transparency amongst others,”
The statement continued that Tenwah has openly and boastfully said the government is afraid of him (Tenwah) from the highest to the lowest level in government, something which is also responsible for his dismissal by the group.
Out of seven incorporators of PATEL, six have signed the resolution to dismiss Tenwah as the group’s chairman and they are Prince Howard, Alexander Wento, George Kumakeh, Kebbeh Collins, Patience Dean and Jerry Phred.
When contacted to comment on the decision taken by the group, Presley Tenwah said the group is not his personal property but he only incorporated people on board who according to him believe in his dreams and ideas.
Tenwah stated that according to the group’s article of incorporation, no one person has the authority to dismiss any incorporators, thus, those calling for his dismissal are acting outside of the group’s article.
