President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has cautioned the 53rd National Legislature to see wisdom not take action that will plunge the country into chaos. The President made the assertion Saturday upon her return to Liberia following meeting with South Africa President Jacob Zuma.

The Liberian leader it is her hope that members of the legislature will in their wisdom take decisions that will not derail the peace that the country is currently enjoying.
“I hope that our colleagues in the legislature will see the wisdom to take action to not plunge the country into problem in such a difficult time,” President Sirleaf cautioned lawmakers.
As a legal issue, the President indicated that the situation rests squarely with the Justice Minister to intervene, citing that the intervention has already begun.
Meanwhile, President Sirleaf said her visit was quite rewarding as both countries have agreed to cooperate in investing in agriculture, road and projects.
She described the visit as a historic meeting because it is the first time a siting Liberian leader to visit South Africa. “Our work is to partner with South Africa to move these as quickly as possible before turning over to the next government.”
