-Says Bong Women at Endorsement Program
The Liberty Party, a party tipped to make considerable progress at the polls, if possible win the elections, continues to make heartening headways across the country just few months to the D-day in October.

With the presence of some of the best policy-makers and political thinkers, the Party seems to be getting across every spectrum of society, successfully communicating her policies to the Liberian people.
Determinately, party has vowed to wage the strongest of fight against corruption, reduce the salaries of public officials, improve healthcare delivery through mobile clinics in all seventy-three electoral districts, pay the West African examination (WAEC) fees for all students, and the provision of free primary and secondary education at all public schools among other things.
These plan of actions could be resonating with Liberians evidenced by series of endorsements seen over the past weeks, the latest being a women group joining the fray.
Hundreds of jubilating women from several village saving clubs in District #1 Bong County who initially were believed to be supporters of Dr. Mills Jones of the Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE) at the weekend endorsed the presidential bid of Cllr. Charles Brumskine, the party’s political leader and standard-bearer.
All of the contenders for the highest seat of the land, the women said they regard the LP strongman as the alternative base on the policy-based conversation it is projecting ahead of the October 2017 polls.
Madam Jennet Sumo, Chairlady of the women group said their decision to throw support behind Cllr. Brumskine is based on his integrity and vision to transform Liberia.
“We the women of Bong County district #1 believe that Cllr. Brumskine has a good plan for us and we know with our support he will surely win,” she said.
“We have never supported a candidate who didn't win. All the people we have supported have always won and this time, we are convinced it is Cllr. Brumskine’s time.
For her part, Mrs. Estelle Brumskine the wife of Cllr. Brumskine expressed gratitude to the women for choosing her husband as their alternative for the presidency of Liberia, and reiterated the party’s message for change under a Brumskine-Karnwea leadership.
“I am so happy that women of Bong county district No. 1 have decided to support my husband for the presidency of our country. You have made no mistake on this decision because I know my husband very well. He cannot say what he will not do. Charles W Brumskine is a man of his word, and I trust he will deliver on what he has promised,” Mrs. Brumskine asserted.
She promised to continuously work with the women during the campaign period, adding that women’s participation is key to the success of the Liberty Party and Cllr. Brumskine in the ensuing October polls.
“I know the difficulties confronting women in the rural parts of our country, I know how you are suffering due to the lack of opportunities to empower you do your small businesses. I know how bad the health and education systems are. I know all these things, but all I can to you is hold on and don't give up, let's keep up the partnership to ensure a new era for change is secured for the good of us and the future of our children’s children,” s Mrs. Brumskine continues.
Also, Liberty Party’s legislative candidate for Bong County District #1, Wamah Kuteh said he was confident that the Party is on the path to victory with the support from the women.
Kuteh who according to the women is poised to win the district seat in the wake of the alleged failure of incumbent Tokpah Mulbah said he is looking at the bigger picture.
“I cannot do this alone. With Cllr. Brumskine as president in the executive mansion, I will succeed at Capitol Hill as your lawmaker. Because we believe together we can do better.
