Authorities of Equity Assurance Limited have donated several refrigerators to the William VS Tubman University in Harper, Maryland Country. Making the presentation to the administration of the university, the Board Chairman of Equity Assurance, Dr. Nathaniel Barnes said the donation is part of the entity`s cooperate social responsibility aimed at developing and improving customer care and relations with important clients.

He said the five refrigerators provided to the administration by his entity is intended to be used by the faculty and staff that live on the campus of the university .
Dr. Barnes said the donation will be used for the advancement of academic works at the university, indicating that the donation is just the first of many cooperate social responsibilities the university is expected to benefit from the same institution.
The company Board Chairman further indicated that the management and the staff were pleased to identify with the Tubman University by donating such a gift to enhance academic activities at the university.
He further disclosed that the management of the insurance company is prepared to engage the administration of the university to discuss the establishment of the Equity Assurance Scholarship Fund which will be an annual award for certain number of students who will meet certain qualifications before accessing the scholarship fund at the university.
Dr. Barnes said the company is looking forward to working collectively with the Tubman University by helping to provide other needed services.
“We have lots of different and well-transformed policies ahead of our competitors in the insurance sector that included customer care and our approach towards building relationship with our customers,” he added.
Also speaking, the managing director and chief executive officer of Equity Assurance Company, Thomas Woart indicated that the management of his entity visited the Tubman University campus in Maryland County and observed that there are lot of areas his entity can assist the university by contributing to education in that part of the country.
He further indicated that during his visit at the university and holding meetings with the administration, the faculty requested that they were in need of ten refrigerators, a request that prompted his company to make a donation of five to help save the university some costs.
Woart disclosed that the entity has done lots of assessments on the students, pointing out that they have a clinic of which his entity is going to work with them to enhance its operations.
Moreover, he stressed that since Maryland County is isolated from Monrovia because of bad road condition, so, providing assistance in the health science department, such intervention will not only benefit the students, but the community as well.
Woart said it is vital for every Marylander who is in position to help the faculties at the university to provide the needed services to Liberian students under difficult condition with needy materials.
He further narrated that the learning environment is conducive with more students obtaining high honor at the institution.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the administration, the vice president for institutional advancement, Rev. Rita Townsend lauded the management of Equity Assurance for such a timely donation.
Rev. Townsend said the university family is indeed grateful for the relationship that has been cultivated with the company, indicating that the company has agreed on a policy to transform lives through quality education.
She further expressed satisfaction for the decision to establish a scholarship fund drive for students of the university, noting that the administration of the school is willing to provide any help to formulate the qualification of the scholarships which will cover all of their academic requirements.
Rev. Townsend, however, extolled the company for expressing interest in two of the university graduates from the college of management and administration for employment because of the caliber of students the university is putting out.
She also disclosed that the school is looking into those packages of the Equity Assurance Company and looks forward to a positive relationship.
The insurance company is providing services in medical, life insurance, motor vehicles, worker compensation, and public liabilities, among others.
