Sinoe County Legislative Caucus has endorsed the reelection of Representative Jefferson Kanmoh of Sinoe County electoral district number one for the third term as Representative.

Speaking over the weekend in the Borough of New Kru Town during an honoring program of Representative Jefferson Kanmoh for his ascendancy as third deputy speaker to the ECOWAS’ Parliament, the chairman of the Sinoe Legislative Caucus, Jeremiah Macaulay rallied the supports of his kinsmen in favor of Kanmoh.

According to Representative Macaulay, reelecting Kanmoh is in the interest of the county and it is a forward march. The Sinoe County lawmaker said Kanmoh has exceptional leadership ability and his ascendancy to the ECOWAS highest post has brought pride to the county and the people of Liberia.

“The caucus is willing to see the well-being of Sinoe County. We will rally around Jefferson Kanmoh for his reelection. I challenge you to go and support Kanmoh because if you love somebody, you cannot destroy him. I pledge you our supports,” he said.

For his part, Senator Joseph Nagbe of Sinoe added his voice to Representative Macaulay`s with a call to his people that the time has come to hold together and not to allow people to divide them.

“In 2017, I say to Macaulay that we need to do all we can to control the show. We cannot put our county in the hands of people who cannot manage our county. People who will use our little money when you talked about it, they cut you off,” he said.

He urged his people to very be careful ahead of the 2017 elections, saying besides Kanmoh`s gesture they should refuse anything that will be given them by others.

“Somebody say I will give ten bags of rice, tell them say we don’t want your rice. I will support Jefferson Kanmoh and we will rally around him to give you rice. As citizens of the county, don’t confuse us, from the beginning tell them no we are not for you. Don’t give them hope. We will make sure to support Jefferson Kanmoh for reelection and I take responsibility for these statements,” he added.

In response, Representative Jefferson Kanmoh noted that their struggle is just and their cause is honest, indicating that they are on a generational struggle and appealed for the collective efforts of every citizen.

According to him, they must hold together and avoid others bastardizing their struggles for a better Sinoe County.  “Some people got their resources under questionable circumstances. One of them has planned to transport people to Sinoe County, but we encourage everybody to participate because it is a part of the democratic process. If you bastardize the process, we will resist. This is why we want to explain to our people the significance of good governance,” he iterated.

The lawmaker has officially confirmed that he will be available to the people of district number one in Sinoe County again to contest the 2017 general and presidential elections.

Representative Jefferson Kanmoh made the statement recently when he was honored for his ascendancy to the post as third deputy speaker to the ECOWAS Parliament by citizens of Sinoe County Tartweh community residing in Montserrado County.
