-Acting County Chair Assures Partisans, Others
Amidst the recent resignation and subsequent endorsement of the Boakai-Nuquay ticket by some executives of the Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE), the party says it remains intact with strong support base in the county.

The vice chairman for administration and now acting chairman for the Party Margibi County Chapter, in a press conference in Kakata told newsmen that the party remains on course with its campaign activities in the county and across the country.

Charles B. Mcgee disclosed that the executives of the party understand that these are political times and the political culture of typical Liberian politicians when they flip-flop from one political party to another for imaginary reasons, primarily for the sake to have some money in their pockets.

He added that as co-chair and now acting chairman of the party in the county along with his colleagues and representative candidates who still remain loyal members and leaders of the party county chapter, they and their fellow partisans will work together to deliver the county to the party evidence by their strong support base.

Mcgee indicated that their partisans, supporters and well-wishers are aware that Dr. Joseph Mills Jones remains the only option that can transform Liberia and empower Liberians by making them active participants in the economy, terming it as an idea that resonates with all Liberians.

He denied report of mass exit from MOVEE in Margibi County is false and misleading. Mcgee, however, warned Mr. Tarnue to be mindful of how he implicates others when making decision while it is his right to choose which political party or candidate to support; thus being signatory to the resignation document alleging that his signature and that of many others were forged.

According to him, the indication that there is a mass exit from MOVEE in Margibi County is false, misleading as the party remains intact with a strong support base in the county while it also remains well on course with its campaign activities.

He indicated that he is being informed that this is not the first time James Tarnue has betrayed a political party for imaginative reasons. He further revealed that they are told that he did similar thing in 2011 to the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC), the Alternative National Congress (ANC) and now the Movement for Economic Empowerment.
The co-chair acknowledged that the party received a notification of resignation from Tarnue as chairman of the party Margibi County branch. The acting chairman, meanwhile, said the party has lauded James Tarnue for his time and also wished him well in his political endeavors.

It can be recalled that 13 executive members of the party including the county chairman James Tarnue and the chairman of the Friends of Jones Isaac Kamara amongst others over the weekend endorsed the Boakai-Nuquay ticket.
The MOVEE local executives under the canopy “the positive thinkers of Margibi in support of Boakai and Nuquay headed by Tarnue in their endorsement statement said their decision was based on the numerous development initiatives carried out by Ambassador Joseph Nyumah Boakai and James Emmanuel Nuquay for the social-economic and political growth for the development of the people and the country.
