The Kakata City Corporation and NC Sanitors & Services last weekend Friday signed a Memorandum of understanding (MOU) intended to keep the city clean and void the growing heaps of flits being stockpiled by residents at different corners.
The MOU obligates NC Sanitors & Services to collecting waste/dirt in the City.
General Manager /CEO of NC Sanitors & Services Mr. James M. Strother told newsmen after the signing of the MOU that his entity moved to Kakata to help the citizens keep the city which is next to Montserrado County clean, noting his organization will provide employment opportunities for the citizens of Kakata.
NC Sanitors & Services which is Liberian-owned started operation in 2007 in Monrovia.
Cherishing the MOU, City Mayor of Kakata City, Mr. Eddie Z. Mupply welcomed community leaders, Christian & Muslim Communities, Liberia Marketing Association Margibi county branch to take the cleaning of the city as a priority.
He said without the participation of the community leaders the city will not be clean.
For his part the superintendent of Margibi County, John Z. Buway thanked the Kakata City Mayor and his team for the level of work done and promised his fullest cooperation.
