Report gathered by this paper has revealed that a tree falling has killed a farmer in Joseph Town in Cinta Township, Margibi County. According to the report, the farmer met her untimely death recently when a tree fell by her faience mistakenly dropped on her.
The doer of the act is identified Sampson Sackie and the identity of the deceased is yet to be made known. Sackie and his late wife both of whom come from Joseph Town in District #5 in Margibi County were felling the remaining portion of trees left by a group that worked from one member’s farm to another when the misfortune occurred.
According to a family source who could not disclose his name to our reporter for reason best known to him, said the deceased was standing on the opposite side when one of the big trees that was falling from her husband hit a small thorny tree that fell on her head and instantly burst her head on the rock.
“The man had not also known that he has mistakenly killed his wife and was still working until their little son who went to fetch water returned and met his late mother`s body under one of the trees and alarmed that his father has killed his mother”, the family source explained.
He stated that the man then hurriedly rushed to rescue his wife but it was already late. Meanwhile, the Liberia National Police Depot in Baypolu Town has already investigated the man as it was concluded that his action was a result of a mistake that led to an accident.
