The only cemetery in Kakata, Margibi County has been ordered closed by Superintendent John Zubah Buway due to the lack of land space to continue burying the dead, this paper has gathered from reports.
Supt. Buway noted among other things a threatening health condition that the cemetery is posing to residents due to people burying the dead over one another was creating a serious problem.
The supt. Who spoke with the Liberia News Agency Thursday, also noted that the area is also being used as hideout for criminals who are in the business of terrorizing peaceful citizens.
He has at the same time expressed his disappointment that the lacked of space for burial at the grave yard has been due to people encroaching on the 20 acres of land allotted for the cemetery as he blamed his predecessors of doing nothing to protect the parcel of land thus causing serious embarrassment for his administration.
