The National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL) has set in motion a so-called recession and rescue package named Sustainable Action Plan approved by the Board of Directors with President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf endorsement, which among other things calls for significant staff cuts, a reconstituted Board, and the retirement and/or replacement of some senior executives alongside other employees.
