The election of   madam  Ellen Johnson Sirleaf as  Liberia's  first female president brought  hope to many people for so many reasons; Some, it was a historic moment that would  give birth to  their long awaited dream and  aspiration of a  new page in the fight against gender equality; restoration of Liberia's  lost image, rejuvenate the private sector,  woo in international investment  and, most of all to ensure that   the plight of girls  are improved  and protected at all levels.
